Ingredients:
To prepare these mouthwatering oatmeal cookies, you will need the following ingredients:
80 gms of unsalted butter, softened
60 gms granulated sugar
1 large egg
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
100 gms of all-purpose flour
100 gms of Oats
1 teaspoon baking powder
½ teaspoon salt
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 160°C and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and salt until light and fluffy.
Beat in the egg, followed by the vanilla extract. Mix well until all the ingredients are fully incorporated.
In to the same bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and oats. Whisk them together to ensure even distribution until they are evenly distributed throughout the dough.
Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart. You can flatten the dough slightly with the back of a spoon to achieve the desired thickness. Here I made Bear shape cookies.
Bake the cookies in the preheated oven for 16 to 18 minutes, or until they turn golden brown around the edges.
Once baked, remove the cookies from the oven and let them cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes. Then, transfer them to wire racks to cool completely.
Repeat the process until all the dough is used, and enjoy the heavenly aroma that fills your kitchen!
