Scrumptious Prawns Tawa Fry Recipe: A Seafood Lover's Delight

Ingredients:
For Marination:
500 grams of large prawns, cleaned and deveined
1 teaspoon red chili powder
1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
1 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste
1 tablespoon lemon juice
Salt to taste
For the Tawa Fry:
3 tablespoons oil
1 large onion, finely chopped
2-3 green chilies, slit
1 sprig of curry leaves
1 teaspoon coriander powder
1/2 teaspoon garam masala
Salt to taste
Lemon wedges for serving
Instructions:
Marinating the Prawns:
In a mixing bowl, combine the prawns with red chili powder, turmeric powder, ginger-garlic paste, lemon juice, and salt.
Mix well and allow the prawns to marinate for about 20-30 minutes.
Cooking the Prawns:
Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a wide, heavy-bottomed tawa (or a large frying pan) over medium-high heat.
Add the marinated prawns to the hot oil and sauté for 3-4 minutes or until they turn pink and slightly crispy.
Remove the prawns from the tawa and set them aside.
Preparing the Tawa Fry:
In the same tawa, add the remaining oil if needed. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter.
Add finely chopped onions and green chilies, sauté until the onions turn translucent.
Spicing it up:
Reduce the heat to low and add the coriander powder and garam masala. Stir well and let the spices cook for a minute or so until they release their aromas.
Bringing it all together:
Return the sautéed prawns to the tawa. Mix them with the spiced onions and spices, making sure the prawns are coated with the flavors.
Finishing Touch:
Add the curry leaves, season with salt if needed, and give it a final stir.
Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.
Serving:
Garnish the Prawns Tawa Fry with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with lemon wedges on the side.
