Exquisite Egg Butter Masala Recipe: A Fusion of Flavors
Introduction:
Egg Butter Masala, a delightful fusion of Indian and Western culinary styles, brings together the richness of butter and the earthy flavors of Indian spices. This dish is a perfect blend of creamy texture and aromatic spices, making it a favorite among food enthusiasts. Let's dive into the steps of creating this delectable Egg Butter Masala at home.
Ingredients:
6 hard-boiled eggs
2 large onions, finely chopped
3 tomatoes, pureed
1/2 cup cashew nuts, soaked in warm water
1/4 cup unsalted butter
1/4 cup heavy cream
1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
1 teaspoon cumin seeds
1 teaspoon red chili powder
1 teaspoon garam masala
1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
1/2 teaspoon coriander powder
Salt to taste
Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
Instructions:
Prepare the Eggs:
Hard-boil the eggs, peel them, and make small incisions on the surface to allow the masala to penetrate.
Make Cashew Paste:
Grind the soaked cashew nuts into a smooth paste using a blender. Set aside.
Saute Onions and Cumin Seeds:
In a large pan, melt half of the butter over medium heat.
Add cumin seeds and let them splutter.
Add finely chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
Add Ginger-Garlic Paste and Spices:
Stir in the ginger-garlic paste and cook for a minute until the raw smell disappears.
Add red chili powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, and salt. Mix well.
Incorporate Tomato Puree:
Pour in the tomato puree and cook until the oil starts to separate from the masala.
Introduce Cashew Paste:
Add the cashew paste to the masala, stirring continuously to avoid lumps.
Simmer and Add Eggs:
Reduce the heat to low and let the masala simmer for 5-7 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
Carefully place the hard-boiled eggs into the masala, ensuring they are coated evenly.
Add Cream and Garam Masala:
Pour in the heavy cream, and sprinkle garam masala over the dish.
Mix gently, ensuring the eggs are well-coated with the creamy masala.
Finish with Butter:
Finally, add the remaining butter for an extra layer of richness. Stir gently until the butter melts and incorporates into the masala.
Garnish and Serve:
Garnish the Egg Butter Masala with fresh coriander leaves.
Serve hot with naan, rice, or your favorite Indian bread.
