Bakery-style biscuits recipe!
Ingredients:
1 cup (unsalted) butter (approximately 227 grams)
1 cup icing sugar (approximately 120 grams)
2 drops yellow gel food colors
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour (approximately 300 grams)
1/4 tsp salt.
1/4 tsp cardamom powder(optional)
3 tablespoons milk powder(23gm)
2 tablespoons custard powder(25g)
1/4 cup (37g) pistachios
30 grams sesame seeds (for coating)
(Optional)
Instructions:
In a mixing bowl, cream 1 cup of unsalted butter and 1 cup of icing sugar together until it's light and fluffy.
Mix in 2 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour, 2 tablespoons of milk powder, 2 tablespoons of custard powder and 1/4 tsp salt. Mix until you have a smooth dough.
Add the chopped pistachios to the dough and combine them evenly.
Preheat your oven to 160°C .
Roll the dough into 30gm sized balls. You can shape them as desired.
Roll these balls in sesame seeds.
Place the coated dough balls on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
Bake in the preheated oven for about 25 minutes, or until the biscuits turn a light golden brown.
Remove the biscuits from the oven and let them cool on a wire rack.
Once they have completely cooled, your bakery-style biscuits are ready to be enjoyed!
