INGREDIENTS
Pineapple slices
550ml (2 1/4 cups) of pineapple juice
310g (2 1/2 cups) of flour
200g (1 cup) of sugar
4 tbsp of sugar
110g (1/2 cup) of melted butter
4 egg yolks
4 egg whites
12g of baking powder
4 tbsp of water
Melted butter

METHOD
1. Cover a circular baking mold with paper and butter.
2. Pour sugar, and water into a pan, and cook until caramelized.
3. Pour into the bottom of the mold. Add pineapple slices neatly.
4. Beat sugar and egg yolks in a bowl. Add melted butter and continue mixing.
5. Add sifted flour and baking powder.
6. Add pineapple juice and mix well.
7. Beat the egg whites until stiff. Gently fold into the mixture.
8. Pour the mixture on top of the pineapple slices.
9. Bake for 45 minutes at 160°C (320°F).
