مكونات:

نصف كوب سكر (120 جرام)
ملعقتين كبيرتين ماء (30 مل)
أربع بيضات كاملة (214 جرامًا)
ربع كوب سكر (60 جرام)
ملعقة كبيرة خلاصة الفانيليا
كوب ونصف من الحليب الدافئ (375 مل)
نصف كوب كريمة ثقيلة دافئة (125 مل)
قليل من الملح

التعليمات:

سخني السكر والماء في قدر صغير على نار متوسطة حتى الغليان، ثم اخفضي الحرارة حتى يتحول السكر إلى الكراميل. صب الخليط في صينية الخبز.

في وعاء الخلط، اخلطي البيض والسكر والفانيليا والحليب الدافئ والكريمة الدافئة والملح. يُصفّى المزيج ويُسكب في صينية الخبز مع السكر المكرمل.

ضعي صينية الخبز في صينية أكبر مع وضع منشفة المطبخ بينهما. املأ المقلاة الأكبر بالماء الساخن.

تُخبز في فرن محمى على حرارة 300 درجة فهرنهايت (150 درجة مئوية) لمدة ساعة واحدة، مع المراقبة من حين لآخر.

أخرجه من الفرن واتركه يبرد إلى درجة حرارة الغرفة. يغطى بلف بلاستيكي ويوضع في الثلاجة لمدة 4-5 ساعات.

تخفف الحواف، ثم تقلب في صينية التقديم، ثم تقطع إلى شرائح. وبالعافيه

Ingredients:

Half a cup sugar (120 grams)
Two tablespoons water (30 ml)
Four whole eggs (214 grams)
One fourth of a cup sugar (60 grams)
One tablespoon vanilla extract
One and a half cups warm milk (375 ml)
Half a cup warm heavy cream or half-and-half (125 ml)
Pinch of salt

Instructions:

Heat sugar and water in a small pot over medium heat until boiling, then lower heat until sugar caramelizes. Pour mixture into a baking pan.
In a mixing bowl, combine eggs, sugar, vanilla, warm milk, warm cream, and salt. Strain mixture and pour into the baking pan with the caramelized sugar.
Place the baking pan in a larger pan with a kitchen towel between them. Fill the larger pan with hot water.
Bake in a preheated oven at 300°F (150°C) for one hour, monitoring occasionally.
Remove from the oven and let cool to room temperature. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 4-5 hours.
Loosen edges, flip onto a serving tray, and cut into slices. Enjoy!
