Death by Chocolate

Ingredients for Alaska Sponge:
Egg 1
Caster sugar 100 g
Vanilla essence 1 tsp
Oil 80 g / ¼ cup
All-purpose flour 112 g
Cocoa powder 20 g / 1 ¼ tbsp.
Baking soda 2 g / ½ tsp
Baking powder 5 g / 1 tsp
Hot water 66 g
Milk 40 g / 2 ½ tbsp.
NESTLÉ MILKPAK Yogurt 40 g / 2 ½ tbsp.

Ingredients for Chocolate Frosting:
NESTLÉ MILKPAK Dairy Cream 1 pack
Dark chocolate 100 g
NESTLÉ MILKPAK Whipping Cream

Ingredients for Assembling:
Alaska sponge as required
Chocolate frosting as required
Whipped cream as required
Milk chocolate (chopped) as requireds
Directions for Alaska Sponge Preparation:
1. In a bowl add egg, caster sugar and whisk it well. Add vanilla essence and oil. Mix it well again.
2. Add flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder and whisk it well until no lumps remain.
3. Add hot water and mix it well. Now add milk, NESTLÉ MILKPAK Yogurt and mix it well again.
4. Transfer this batter to a greased baking pan lined with butter paper.
5. Bake it in a preheated oven at 160 degrees for 30-40 mins. Take it out of the oven, let it cool at room temperature and remove the sponge from the pan.
Directions for Chocolate Frosting Preparation:
6. In a bowl add NESTLÉ MILKPAK Dairy Cream and microwave for 2-3 mins. Add dark chocolate and mix it well and chocolate melts. Set aside.
7. In a bowl add NESTLÉ MILKPAK Dairy Whipping Cream and beat until fluffy and stiff peaks form.
Note: Chill the cream overnight in the fridge and whip it with an electric beater.
Note: Do not put in freezer to chill, cream won’t whip once it gets gold temperature shock.
8. Add this whipped cream to the chocolate ganache gradually and fold it well with the spatula. Set aside.
Directions for Assembling:
9. Take the Alaska Sponge, remove the uneven top and cut it into 2 discs. Cut these discs into cubes.
10. In a dessert glass add layers of sponge cubes, chocolate frosting, whipped cream and lastly garnish it with milk chocolate.
11. Your Death by Chocolate dessert is ready. Serve and enjoy.

Cooking time: 40-45 mins
