Make and Freeze Gravy (Red Gravy & White Gravy)
Ingredients for Red Gravy:
Oil 1/2 cup
Onion paste 2 cups
Ginger garlic paste 3 tbsp
Tomato paste 2 cups
Coriander powder 2 tbsp
Red chili powder 2 tbsp
Turmeric powder 1 tsp
Cumin powder 2 tbsp
Salt 1 tbsp
Yogurt 1 cup
Ingredients for White Gravy:
Oil 1/2 cup
Onion paste 2 ½ cups
Ginger garlic paste 3 tbsp
Yogurt 2 cups
Black pepper powder 1 tbsp
White pepper powder 1 tbsp
Salt 1 tbsp
Ingredients for Aloo Matar with Red Gravy:
Oil 3 tbsp
Peas 1 cup
Potato cubes 1 cup
Red gravy cubes 3-4
Hot water 2 cups
Dried fenugreek 1 tbsp
Garam masala powder 1 tbsp
Ingredients for Kofta with White Gravy:
Oil 3 tbsp
Frozen kofta as required
White gravy cubes 3-4
Hot water 2 cups
Cream 1/4 cup
Directions for Red Gravy Preparation:
1. In a pot heat oil and add onion paste. Cook for 2-3 mins. Add ginger garlic paste and mix it well.
2. Add tomato paste, coriander powder, red chili powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder, salt and cook for 2-3 mins.
3. Add yogurt and cook until oil separates. Let it cool at room temperature now.
4. Transfer the gravy to a cupcake baking tray. Freeze it overnight.
5. Now transfer these cubes to an airtight bag and they can be frozen for up to 1 month.
Directions for White Gravy Preparation:
6. In a pot heat oil and add onion paste. Cook for 2-3 mins. Add ginger garlic paste and cook for 2-3 mins.
7. Add yogurt, black pepper powder, white pepper powder, salt and cook until oil separates. Let it cool at room temperature.
8. Transfer the gravy to a cupcake baking tray. Freeze it overnight.
9. Now transfer these cubes to an airtight bag and they can be frozen for up to 1 month.
Directions for Aloo Matar Preparation:
10. In a pot heat oil and add peas and potatoes. Cook for 2-3 mins over high flame.
11. Add red gravy cubes and mix them well. Add hot water and cook for 2-3 mins.
12. Now cover and cook until veggies are fully done. Lastlt add dried fenugreek and garam masala powder. Mix it well and your Aloo Matar with Red Gravy cubes are ready.
Directions for Kofta with White Gravy Preparation:
13. In a pot heat oil and add frozen kofta. Cook for 1-2 mins.
14. Now add 3-4 white gravy cubes and mix them well. Add hot water, cream and cook for 2-3 mins.
15. Your White Kofta Gravy is ready.
