Fried Mantou is fried Chinese steam bun. Mantou is usually served steam or fried. In Malaysia, we have fried mantou with chilli crab, butter crab or curry.

This is a simple fried mantou recipe. If it gets cold, retoast it and it will be crunchy again! 😋

In this recipe, the steam buns are very soft and fluffy. The texture is very similar to those served in Chinese restaurants. These buns are not the chewy type. These buns have a soft, delicate texture.
