Kung Pao Chicken is a Classic Chinese dish that you can easily make at home. I love this recipe as the sauce is sweet, savoury, sticky, spicy and tangy. The preparation of the ingredients do take some time but it is so worth it!
💗 Ingredients 材料:
400 grams boneless skinless chicken breast/thigh 400克去骨无皮鸡胸肉/鸡腿肉
1/4 cup cashew nuts 1/4杯腰果
3-5 dried chilies (adjust based on spiciness) 3-5只干辣椒(根据辣度调整)
3 tablespoon cooking oil 3汤匙食用油
3 cm ginger 3厘米姜
3 cloves garlic 3瓣大蒜
1 teaspoon Sichuan pepper 1茶匙花椒
1 red onion 1个红洋葱
2-3 sprigs spring onion 2-3 根葱
Marinade: 腌料:
1 tablespoon light soy sauce 1汤匙生抽
1/2 teaspoon salt 1/2茶匙盐
1 tablespoon Shaoxing rice wine 1汤匙绍兴料酒
1 teaspoon cornstarch 1茶匙玉米淀粉
1 tablespoon oil 1汤匙食用油
Sauce: 酱汁:
1 tablespoon light soy sauce 1汤匙生抽
1/2 teaspoon dark soy sauce 1/2茶匙老抽
2 teaspoon sugar 2茶匙糖
1/4 teaspoon Chinese Black Vinegar 1/4茶匙黑醋
1 teaspoon cornstarch 1茶匙玉米淀粉
2 tablespoon water 2汤匙水
