So this Lemon Cake was actually one of the first recipes I posted on the channel, around this time 4 years ago. I've made this cake so many times and we all enjoy it. Whenever I have to make a cake that I know people like, this is a cake I know I can make. I've adjusted the quantities slightly since then (to the sugar) but the cake remains to taste just as good. And it is part of my bakery series since I'm sure it is popular across bakeries, particularly in Britain. They tend to have a variation on the Lemon Cake. Lemon Drizzle Cake:
190g sugar
110g softened butter
Zest of 3 lemons
3 eggs
220g plain flour
2 tsp baking powder
3 eggs
120g Greek yogurt
Juice of 1/2 lemon
Lemon extract (optional)
Pinch of salt (please use if you are not using a salted butter)

For the syrup:
Sugar and lemon juice
