Ingredients
Ghee / Clarified butter - 1 tsp
Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
Chilli flakes - 1/2 tsp
Green beans - 1/2 cup
Carrot - 1/2 cup
Cumin seeds / Jeera - 1/2 tsp
Salt to taste
Rice flour - 1 cup
Cooking Method (Step by Step)
1. Add Ghee / Clarified butter to a pan and let it melt, then add 1/2 tsp of mustard seeds and let it pop.
2. once you hear mustard seeds popping add 1/2 tsp chilli flakes, 1/2 cup chopped beans, 1/2 cup of chopped carrot and fry for 2 to 3 minutes in medium heat.
3. Now add about 1 & 1/2 cup of water, 1/2 tsp cumin seeds and salt to taste, mix everything well and let it boil.
4. Once the water starts boiling, add 1 cup of rice flour, immediately start mixing (make sure there are no lumps) and cook for 2 minutes in low heat.
5. After 2 minutes, switch off the heat and let it cool down.
6. Now take the prepared dough and shape it like a ball or cylinder according to your preference.
7. After the dough is ready, place it on banana leaf and steam for about 10 to 12 minutes.
8. After 12 minutes, check if its cooked completely, if its not cooked steam for another 2 to 3 minutes.
Delicious and healthy breakfast is now ready!!!! Serve it hot with some tomato sauce or any chutney.
