These Korean BBQ meatballs are the ultimate dinner recipe when you don't have time to cook. Sweet, savory and spicy meatballs that served with rice.

RECIPE
Ingredients:
For the meatballs:
1 lb. (450g) Ground beef
Salt to taste
Black pepper to taste
1/2 cup (g) Breadcrumbs
1 tablespoon Gochujang paste (Korean chili paste)
1 Egg
1/4 cup Green onions, thinly sliced
Cooking spray
For the sauce:
1/4 cup (50g) Brown sugar
2 tablespoons Gochujang paste
1 tablespoon Grated garlic
1 tablespoon Grated ginger
1/3 cup (80ml) Soy sauce (low sodium)
1 teaspoon Sesame oil
3/4 cup (180ml) Water
2 teaspoons Cornstarch + 1 tablespoon water
For garnish:
Sesame seeds
Spring onions
For serving:
Cooked rice
Directions:
1. Make the meatballs: preheat oven to 450F (220C).
2. in a large bowl, mix ground beef, salt, pepper, Gochujang paste, egg and breadcrumbs.
3. Form into balls and place the balls in a baking pan and bake for 15 minutes.
4. Make the sauce: I a skillet/pan heat 1 tablespoon of oil. Add grated ginger and grated garlic, cook for 1-2 minutes. Add brown sugar, Gochujang paste, soy sauce, sesame oil, water and mix well. Cook over medium heat for 4-5 minutes.
5. Meanwhile in a small bowl mix cornstarch and water. Pour the mixture into sauce, cook, stirring constantly, until slightly thickens.
6. Add the meatballs, reduce the heat to low and cook for 3-4 minutes. Cover the meatballs with the sauce.
7. Turn the heat off, sprinkle some sesame seeds and chopped green onions.
8. Serve with rice.
