INGREDIENTS:
1 lbs (450g) Lean ground beef
3 Garlic cloves
1/4 cup/50g Brown sugar
1/4 cup/60ml Soy sauce
2 tsp Sesame oil
1/2 tsp Ground ginger
1/4 tsp Red pepper flakes
Black pepper
Green onions and toasted Sesame seeds for garnish

INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Cook ground beef and garlic over medium heat for 5 minutes
2. In a small bowl, mix brown sugar, soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, red pepper flakes, and pepper.
3. Pour it over the beef and let it simmer for 1 minute.
4. Serve on hot rice and top with green onions and sesame seeds.


Rice:
2 cups Jasmine rice
2 1/2 cups /600ml cold water

1. In a medium saucepan, combine rice and water. Bring it to a quick simmer without the lid on over medium-high heat.
2. Reduce the heat to low for a gentle simmer, then cover with a lid. Don't lift the lid while cooking.
3. Cook for 12 minutes or until the rice absorbs the water.
4. Remove from heat, keep the lid on, and let it stand for 5 minutes.
Fluff the rice before serving.
