Caramelized Banana Oatmeal | How to make Oatmeal on Stovetop

INGREDIENTS:
- 1/2 cup rolled oats (50g)
- 3/4 cup milk (165ml)
- 1/2 banana, mashed
- 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tbsp maple syrup
toppings:
- 1 tbsp natural peanut butter
- 1/2 banana
- 1/4 tsp butter
- 1/2 tsp maple syrup
- sesame seeds

Notes:
- If you’re using honey, add it on top after the oatmeal is cooked. I recently learned that heating honey makes it toxic so wanted to share that.
- You can use whole milk or any plant based milk. Both work very well.
- I used old fashioned rolled oats. You can use quick oats too.
