INGREDIENTS
3 eggs
150g (¾ cup) of sugar
200g (1 2/3 cups) of all-purpose flour
2 tsp of baking powder
130ml (½ cup) of milk
60g (¼ cup) of butter
 
METHOD
1. Pour the eggs and sugar into a large bowl and beat the ingredients with electric beaters for a few minutes until the mixture is light and fluffy.
2. Add the flour and baking powder, and continue mixing at low speed until fully combined.
3. Pour the milk and butter into a small saucepan.
4. Heat over the stove, stirring continuously until the butter is completely melted, making sure the mixture is warm but not boiling.
5. Gradually add the milk and butter mixture to the batter in two parts, mixing with the electric beaters at low speed after each addition until the batter is smooth and free of lumps.
6. Pour the batter into a cake tin lined with baking paper.
7. Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 45 minutes.
